Courses and Levels
Pre-A1 and A1 are available. A2 has six lessons so far, B1 has three, B2 has six, C1 has three and C2 has three, all in development or beta. C2 is the last level on the ladder. Every level above A1 is still short and has not been reviewed by a native speaker. This is an educational progression, not an official CEFR certification.
The pathway
Arabic Foundations → Modern Standard Arabic basics → Everyday communication → Dialect introduction. All current material is MSA. Dialect tracks are Planned and will be labelled by dialect.
The levels
- Pre-A1 Beta · lessons available
“I am starting from zero.”
Greetings, introductions, courtesies, yes and no, numbers, and phrases for when you do not understand. - A1 Beta · lessons available
“I can use basic Arabic.”
Nine lessons: meeting people, family, daily life, food, shopping, travel, health, weather and plans. - A2 Beta · not yet native-reviewed
“I can manage everyday conversations.” Six lessons so far: go to A2. - B1 Beta · not yet native-reviewed
“I can have independent conversations.” Three lessons so far: go to B1. - B2 Beta · not yet native-reviewed
“I can discuss a wide range of topics.” Six lessons so far: go to B2. - C1 Beta · not yet native-reviewed
“I can communicate confidently about complex subjects.” Three lessons so far: go to C1. - C2 / Mastery Beta · not yet native-reviewed
“I can operate at a very advanced level.” Three lessons so far: go to C2.
No native-speaker equivalence is promised.
A1 Beginner: lessons
Complete when all nine lessons are complete (each needs a quiz score of 4 of 6 or better).
Pre-A1: modules
Complete when every phrase is ticked, the phrase check is 8 of 12 or better, and all five Pre-A1 conversations are done.
