At HikmahBridge, we are committed to protecting your privacy as you engage with our Islamic education platform. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

  • Contact information you provide, such as your name and email address, when you place an order, contact us, or subscribe to updates.
  • Order and transaction data, including the products purchased and payment status, needed to deliver your digital downloads and provide support.
  • Cookies, analytics and browser storage: essential cookies for your cart and account, Google Analytics cookies that measure how the site is used, WooCommerce cookies that record how you arrived at the site, and learning progress saved only in your browser. Details are in Analytics, Cookies and Browser Storage below. We do not use cookies to sell your data.

How We Use Your Information

  • To process orders and deliver purchased digital guides.
  • To respond to support requests and questions sent through our contact form.
  • To send you updates or new resources, only if you have chosen to subscribe — you can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

Some parts of our site rely on trusted third-party services to operate — for example, payment processors to securely handle checkout, email delivery services to send order confirmations and downloads, and Google Analytics to measure how the site is used. Newsletter sign-up is not currently open. If it opens, we plan to use Brevo, a third-party email marketing service, to store your subscription (email address and, if provided, first name) and to send you newsletter emails, including a confirmation email before your subscription becomes active. These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and have their own privacy practices governing that data.

Analytics, Cookies and Browser Storage

This section lists what our pages store on your device, or send to other services, when you visit.

  • Site analytics (Google Analytics 4). We use Google Analytics, added through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, the type of device and browser, and the approximate country or city a visit comes from. It sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_XZMV6N7CWF, which hold a random identifier so repeat visits can be counted; they can last up to two years. Google processes this information under its own privacy terms. Analytics runs on every page, including the children’s activity pages, where it records page visits but not quiz answers or anything typed into our learning tools.
  • Order attribution (WooCommerce). WooCommerce sets cookies whose names begin with sbjs_. They record how you arrived at the site (for example, from a search engine, another website or by typing the address) and basic details of the current visit. If you place an order, this information is saved with the order so we can see which channels lead to purchases. These cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Essential cookies. WooCommerce and WordPress set cookies to keep items in your cart, complete checkout and keep you signed in to your account. The cart and checkout cannot work without them.
  • Learning progress in your browser. Course progress, quiz scores, checklists, bookmarks and reader settings are saved in your browser’s local storage on your device. They are not sent to us and are not linked to an account. You can back them up or clear them on the My Progress page, or remove them by clearing your browser data.
  • Hostinger Reach script. Our pages load a script from Hostinger Reach, our hosting provider’s email-marketing service. It is not connected to an account and we do not use it to collect information, but loading it means Hostinger receives standard request details such as your IP address and browser type.

Your choices. You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working. To stop Google Analytics measuring your visits on any website, you can install Google’s Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Data Retention

We keep order and account records for as long as needed to provide support, fulfill legal and accounting obligations, and maintain accurate business records. You may request deletion of your account information as described below, subject to any records we are required to retain.

Your Rights

You may contact us at any time to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data, where we are not required to retain it for legal or accounting reasons.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, or by contacting us directly.

Children’s Privacy

HikmahBridge is intended for use by adults. While some of our resources are designed to help parents raise and educate their children, purchases and account registration should only be made by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information using secure hosting and standard web security practices. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our platform grows. Significant changes will be reflected by an updated revision date on this page.
