Hearing Arabic is half of speaking it.

Two different things, kept separate. Device text-to-speech is available now but depends on your browser and device. Recorded audio by real speakers (“HikmahBridge Audio”) is planned and does not exist yet. We do not present one as the other.

Status

  • AvailablePlay on phrases and conversation lines using your device’s Arabic voice, with Pause, Replay and three speeds (0.75×, 1×, 1.25×). Voices differ between devices, so pronunciation and sound can differ too.
  • AvailableIf your device has no Arabic voice, you are told plainly and can carry on reading the Arabic; nothing breaks.
  • In developmentListen step in every A1 lesson — play, then reveal the text and meaning. Try it in A1 Lessons.
  • PlannedRecorded audio by different male and female speakers, at different speeds, with each recording labelled by speaker, language, dialect and how it was verified.
