Who C1 is for
C1 builds on B2, so it is best after the A1, A2, B1 and B2 lessons. It is not locked: if any B2 lesson feels new, review it first at B2 Confident Arabic.

What is new at C1
- Reporting what someone said or asked: he said that, she asked whether, he told me not to.
- Concession and contrast: although, despite, and nevertheless.
- The passive voice (it was said, it was completed) and polite formal requests and apologies.
Each lesson has phrases, listening with your browser voice, practice, a speaking task, a short conversation and a six-question quiz, the same shape as the A1, A2, B1 and B2 lessons.
Still to come

- Planned A C1 level check and a C1 speaking challenge.
- Planned Native-speaker review of the C1 Arabic.
Which Arabic is this?
C1 teaches Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), like A1, A2, B1 and B2. The Gulf word bank is a separate regional extension and is not part of C1.
