Who A2 is for
A2 builds on A1, so it is best after the A1 lessons, level check and speaking challenge. It is not locked: if you are unsure, take the placement test, or try the A1 level check.

What is new at A2
- Saying what you did, with the “-tu” ending, and saying what you did not do with “lam”.
- Describing words that change for masculine and feminine things, such as jadid and jadida, and comparing with “akbar min”.
- Place words (next to, in front of, behind, between) and short directions such as “idhhab mustaqiman”.
- Clock times, invitations and replies (accepting or declining politely), and talking about work and study.
Each lesson has phrases, listening with your browser voice, practice, a speaking task, a short conversation and a six-question quiz, the same shape as the A1 lessons.

- Planned More A2 lessons, for example telling a short story, shopping for clothes, and health and feelings in more depth.

Which Arabic is this?
A2 teaches Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), like A1. The Gulf word bank is a separate regional extension and is not part of A2.
