Welcome to the Salah Centre: a full, step-by-step course on the daily prayer, from purification and conditions, through to the movements, recitations, and common mistakes to avoid. There are twenty-eight pages here. If you are a beginner, the How to Pray course takes you through seventeen of these lessons in order, from why we pray to the prayer itself, with a button to mark each lesson complete. The lessons are grouped roughly like this. First, what Salah is, and why it matters. Then the conditions of prayer, facing the qiblah, and clothing and cleanliness. Then purification: why it matters, how to make wudu, what breaks it, the full bath of ghusl, dry purification with tayammum, guidance on menstruation and other bleeding, and a question-and-answer page for new Muslims. Then timing: the five daily prayers, prayer times, and the call to prayer. Then the prayer itself: how to pray step by step, what to recite, common mistakes, and the prostration of forgetfulness. And finally, further prayers: making up missed prayers, Witr, Tahajjud, the Friday prayer, the Eid prayers, the traveller's prayer, and the funeral prayer. Most lessons have their own English narration. The Arabic recitations themselves are not voiced, and are best learned from a teacher or a verified recording.
