How to Pray is a step-by-step course for learning the prayer, built from the lessons in the Salah Centre. It is for beginners, new Muslims, and anyone learning or relearning the prayer. It is free, and it needs no account. There are seventeen lessons in five modules. Module one, why we pray, introduces what Salah is, and why it matters. Module two, before you pray, covers the conditions of prayer, facing the qiblah, and clothing and cleanliness. Module three, purification, explains why purification matters, how to make wudu, what breaks it, and when the full bath, ghusl, or dry purification, tayammum, is needed. Module four, when to pray, covers the five daily prayers, how prayer times are set, and the call to prayer. And module five, praying, walks through the prayer step by step, what is recited, common mistakes, and what to do if you forget part of the prayer. Take the lessons in order, or jump to the one you need. Many lessons have their own narration, and the Arabic recitations themselves are best learned from a teacher or a verified recording. There is also a free printable wudu checklist, with a seven-day practice log. Your progress is saved in this browser only, not in an account. And for questions about your own situation, ask a qualified scholar or teacher. Start with lesson one, What Is Salah.
